short shrub with hairy stems branched from the base and reaching a height of 40cm. The whole plant is hairy and has a downy appearance. The leaves are white-green, round or ovare of the same length and width, 15 (4 30)mm. The flowers are pink, 11(8-15)mm long. It is indigenous to Crete and grows wild in many parts of the island, on unapproachable limestone slopes, at an altitude of 0-1900 m.
